“SEP” HENDRICKSON Inducted into Fresh Water Fishing Hall of Fame

Vacaville, Ca. resident, Joseph “Sep” Hendrickson has received notification of his induction into the National Fresh Water Fishing Hall of Fame for the year 2015. His name has been added to the list of a very prestigious group of inductees. He will be enshrined as a “Legendary Communicator”.

The National Fresh Water Fishing Hall of Fame was founded in 1960 and was incorporated in 1970 as a non-profit 501(c) 3. Considered are persons who have had a lasting National or World impact to the benefit of fresh water sport fishing. Individuals are recognized for outstanding achievement in fishing, science, education, conservation, communication or technology. The National Committee of Electors, consisting of eleven persons from the freshwater sport fishing industry, evaluate and act on the nomination information package and results in secret balloting of candidates.

The Legendary Communicator Category guidelines are defined by several specifics, including, “has promoted freshwater sport fishing to the public through effective communication through writing, radio, and/or television, broadcasting, photography, video production, etc.”

Sep is being recognized as an acclaimed radio show host; his “California Sportsmen” has aired Saturday mornings on KHTK 1140 Sacramento, CA. for 18 years. He is also an angler, tackle innovator, outdoor writer, author, photographer and seminar speaker. He has a proven track record of introducing young people and adults to the sport of fishing through effective communication skills and his relationships with outdoor folks and government agencies impact his outreach.
Sep is honored to be selected as a recipient of this award, and commented, “To be in the Fresh Water Hall of Fame along with individuals such as Forrest Wood, Al Lindner, Babe Winkleman, Stan Fagerstrom, Mike Folkestad, Patrick McManus, Curt Gowdy, Buzz Ramsey, Roland Martin, Lee Wulff and so many others, is beyond anything a “trolling guy with a radio show” could ever have anticipated”.
